You are a data engineer who finds satisfaction in building things that work reliably at scale. You care about clean pipelines, solid data quality and infrastructure that performs when it matters. At Billy Grace, you will join a focused tech team building the data foundation of an AI-driven marketing platform. We already process over 10 million sessions a day and we are growing fast.

Your Impact

As a Data Engineer at Billy Grace, you keep the data flowing cleanly and reliably. You design and maintain the infrastructure that makes our AI product possible, and your work directly shapes the quality of the decisions our platform helps marketers make. In a small, close-knit tech team, your contributions are visible from day one.

What You'll Do

You will take ownership of the data pipelines at the heart of our platform. That means designing, improving and scaling them as the business grows, working hands-on with PySpark to strengthen and extend our codebase, and improving our distributed cluster setup inside Databricks so everything runs faster and more reliably.

You will build frameworks for data validation and quality checks, write unit tests for pipelines and work through a backlog of improvements and new pipeline additions. You will also contribute to the design and scaling of a database that is central to our core application, making sure it holds up as usage grows.

You will collaborate closely with data scientists and full-stack developers, pick up bugs and solve real problems. This is not a ticket-only function. You will have a genuine seat at the table when architectural decisions are made.

What You Bring

  • Living in the Netherlands and able to work hybrid (3 days in the office, no IND sponsorship)

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer.

  • 2 to 5 years of experience with Python and pandas.

  • Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines of more than 2 years.

  • Solid hands-on experience with PySpark of at least 1.5 years.

  • Experience setting up distributed Spark clusters.

  • Experience with Databricks and/or Delta Lake.

  • You are critical, solution-oriented and comfortable managing your own projects.

  • You communicate well, work well with others and take ownership of your work.

  • Fluent in English.
